Love Hunting Season!

Valentines is on its way and no girl/guy likes to be single on this Holiday of love.

I may not be the best when it comes to dating but I do know a few do's and don'ts about the subject of first dates.

Do: Complement your date when you meet up. I'm not saying to point out everything wonderful about them, a simple "you look nice" would work. If they don't look nice you could say "wow you're such a gentleman" or "I'm lucky to be out with you tonight." If none of this is true you might want to rethink your reasons for being there with them.

Don't: Do not be overly available to your date. Giving them your cell number, home phone, address, e-mail, facebook, and twitter might come across as kinda creepy. If you feel something special between you and someone, they just might feel it too, if you give it time they will come around or it might not be meant to be, and remember if it was meant to happen eventually it will!

Do: Go somewhere exciting! you only have one first date, be sure to make it something to remember.

Don't: The movies are not exciting, don't even bother with it. They are dark, expensive and you aren't allowed to talk, how are you supposed to get to know someone if you can't talk to them?

Do: Be relaxed! Trying too hard is never a good thing, if you are relaxed it shows your date that you are comfortable with them and yourself.

Don't: Do not be too nice, a little flattery isn't a bad thing but when you go too far you become either a creeper (people deemed sinister, indecorous, uncouth, or otherwise unpleasant.) Or you could end up in the notorious "friend zone". Once in the friend zone, there are few ways to get out. I'm not saying to be a jerk or unfriendly in anyway, but going ridiculously out of your way for someone on the first date isn't the way to go.

Good luck and happy huntings people!
