Na na na na na na na na Batman!

BATMAN, the creature of the night, he lurks stopping criminals in the act. Batman was not gifted with super human powers, he worked hard for his strength, he uses his brain to solve problems and to make gadgets. He protects without financial gain, or public praise, so his is the purest form of heroism

I was hanging out with my best friend, and we decided to get some coffee since I had coupons for buy one get one free. After probably far too much caffeine we decided to go to Holloween U.S.A and look at the outfits.

I already have the most ridiculous costume ever, but I was looking just for fun when I came upon it. This item was exactly what I was looking for, it would complete me at least for the night... Batman masks! On sale for only $3.99 plus tax. We had to buy them. We then drove around all of Port Huron wearing the masks the whole time. We only had like 10 people even notice the masks, which frightens me that we could drive down Pine Grove unnoticed. But the few people who looked made it worth the while. One guy rolled down his window to tell us how we made his day. But we also got enough dirty looks to have the feeling we were going to have the authorities called. During the trip we hit up Taco bell and we got the people there to laugh.

After I dropped off my friend I decided to head up to the station to see Annie and Gerry (her boy toy) I creeped into the station and it was the best.

Now the Batman mask resides in the WBTI station, where it waits in the hopes that Ben Coburn will finally realize his dreams to become the Batman of Port Huron, and protect his city under the cover of the mask... and the night.

Random I know, but that's just how I roll.

Vampires! They're on the loose!!!!

I was scanning the internet for things to talk about in my night time low down in Annie's absence, and instead of ranting about Halo ODST release date, I stumbled on to something better!

November 20th, some of you out there have this date circled with hearts on your calendar. No, it's not your wedding date, Most likely, but in fact it is the opening night of New Moon, the next in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer.

If you don't know what twilight is, it is a book about a girl who falls in love with a vampire. This sounds like a horror film where the vampire is stealthy and just trying to lure her away so he can drink her blood (Like most vampires would), but he actually loves her back.

I am not a ignorant hater of twilight, I've read all the books and I've seen the first movie like 4 times, I just don't like it enough to buy things like T-shirts or anything that costs more than 10 dollars.

A line has been drawn in the sand with this next movie... The team Edward VS. team Jacob rivalries will be at their worse. In the first few chapters of New Moon Edward leaves Bella "so he couldn't hurt her anymore" so she turns to her best friend Jacob for support.... but wait something is happening to him... something unnatural!

The reason for this overly long blog? Along with the movie coming there are also other products too. Like the Twilight board game, a limited edition trading card set with an official binder for $239, a book about the making of the movie (There was one just like it for the first movie) and last but not least.... Edward and Bella Barbie's. And yes the two barbies had a photo shoot.

I think this is going over the edge just a bit. I understand people like to buy collectibles, but this reminds me a lot of the Pokemon phase when I was younger. The stuff is mega expensive but looses it's value instead of growing in value.

I'm thinking of buying Ben Colburn one of the Edward dolls... and shaving it's head.

This is my thoughts, be sure to tune in for my next blog.
Topic? You'll just have to wait and see.

Intern April no more!

As almost nobody knows, I was an intern with Radio first for approximately 3 months but it is all over now. Now my new title is actual employee April. As a part of my new title I get to have my own blog and bio featured on the WBTI homepage (Bio is on it's way).

Now it is time for my first blog ever. For those of you have never written a blog, I would say the first one is kinda like a blind date; Its majorly awkward, you don't know what to say, it probably wont turn out well and there is a moderate chance of stalking.

First a little Information on me :)

I'm a total nerd and love video games, but at the same time I love the sun so I'm kind of an oxymoron, at least as far as the stereotype goes. I love using smiley faces. At any given time I can be found at the Boardwalk in Port Huron, most of the time (at least during the summer.) I'll be in the water. If you want to annoy me, you'll have to try really hard because I really can't think of much... other than people who talk while yawning.
I love horror movies and scary video games, and I have an unhealthy relationship with facebook. Many of my friends say my biggest fault is I turn minute long stories into 20 minute long adventures, if you couldn't tell by the length of this Blog.
I love animals, I have 2 dogs (I had to add a photo, the white shiatsu is Bianca and the tan Sheppard mix is Riley) I actually got the tan one from furry Fridays with Sean and Erin. I used to have lizards and snakes but my mom ended that. I'm 19 and am going to SC4 for my degree in Radio Broadcasting! If you have any more questions feel free to leave comments of them, I'll always be more than happy to answer.

Now the History

I went to Central Michigan University for a whole year to be a vet, but it turns out I love animals, not fixing the broken ones. So I decided to look into communication since I love to talk, and getting paid to do that would be boss. I got a hold of Ben Coburn's number and I pestered him for what seemed like 5 months... and actually was 5 months, for an internship. He turned me over to Annie Spears who taught me the way of the Jedi also known as DJ-ing. After like 3 months Ben decided to hire me on, I was camping when I got the text, it was awesome, I fell into the Sunday 4pm to 8 spot and whenever people are sick or on vacation.

I hope this wasn't as awkward for you (the reader) as it was for me (the writer), tune in for my next Blog.

~April.
