GRRRRRR

I tend to think that I am a very easy going person but there are 3 things that annoy me more than anything else.
First up is when people yawn when they are talking. As a fellow human I understand yawns so when I yawn I always stop talking till it is over, no offense to those of you that yawn and talk, there is nothing threatening or mean about it, it just annoys me.

This puppy is very cute when it yawns.->

The next thing that annoys me is when you text people (Yes I'm a texter) and they reply with 1 word texts. I would understand if you were busy or just plain didn't want to text me, but when I explain how awesome my day has been in detail and I receive "cool" it feels condescending... it's the problem with texting, words mean different things to different people, which is why I constantly use smiley faces to get my point across :)

The last annoying thing.... the reason for the blog altogether.... is when people get really mad in public places and proceed to take it out on people who are at work in those public places. I was across the street buying a ridiculously large mountain dew slurpie and the gentleman in front of me was returning beer cans. (YAY for recycling!!!)
But he had brought quite a few cans... and the cashier only accepted 50 of them. The guy went on like this 5 minute rant about how he bought all the beer there and that he should be able to turn it all in there too. The poor clerk just stood there and took it. I have never worked as a gas station clerk but I assume it has to be a pain to take in used cans.

All of these things annoy me but I RARELY ever confront people and never hold grudges if someone is annoying to me

Now for the constructive part of the blog.

If you feel the need to yell at a person you have never met before think of a few things first :)
1. Think if the reason you are angry is the person, the situation, or the day you've been having in general. There is really only 1 thing that stranger has control over and karma has its way of turning around if you just stay positive.
2. Think about it from the other persons perspective. The guy who came into the gas station had well over 200 cans, The woman was polite when she explained to him how it was a policy she had no control over and I'm sure she would have gotten in trouble taking in more than 5 dollars worth from one customer.
3. Think if what you're about to say is appropriate for the situation. If the waitress takes longer than expected don't ask if she is stupid... instead ask if they are understaffed that particular night. 9 times out of 10 there is a reason and they will explain. Not only will they know they need to bring your order, but you will probably get the best service of all the other customers.
4. Finally if after considering all of these possibilities you still feel the urge to yell, kill them with kindness!!!!
There is nothing more insulting to someone who is instigating than to keep them from the out come they so long for.
So if you are an angry person, know a angry person or are surrounded by people who make you angry; remember to chill, relax and smile often. It's the holidays use it as an excuse to be nice!!

Love Stinks!

So The BOB and I were having a really hilarious talk about relationships. We are opposites right now, he is married and super in love with his wife.... I on the other hand am single. We managed to get onto the topic of break ups and how juvenile they can be no matter how old the other person is.

We have explained about our horrible break ups and I kinda trumped him... as far as they go. I once had a guy break up with me, and his reason??? I wear make-up....

Another guy broke up with me via Myspace song... reason I will never like that certain song. Him and his ex had the same song and background and stuff and I asked him what was up with that, and he explained then how it wasn't working out anymore. But the trump of all of my break ups happened at the beginning of high school.

I was young, stupid, and I had been dating this guy for like a month (that is forever in high school time) and he was at my house. I noticed him acting kinda weird so I asked him what was wrong. He just looked at me with a serious look on his face and said " There is a full moon tonight...." I was super weirded out but curiosity got the better of me, I HAD to ask what that would have to do with anything. He then confessed to me that he was a werewolf and would transform when the sun goes down...

This wins as my worst break up just because I laughed... and laughed.... and laughed, then told him to leave my house lol

I feel bad about how I broke up with him.... but then again there wasn't even a full moon that night.

I want to know one that trumps mine! So leave me a comment with your worst break up story!!

Making a Statement!

There has been a kidnapping at the WBTI station... no Annie is still here, but less importantly the batman mask no longer is here in the station!!!! (sound effect= DUN DUN DUN)

CSI has not returned my calls about fingerprinting but I'm sure I'll figure it out sometime!!!

If you have any information about the location of the mask call the station at (810) 966-9696 or toll free at 1 877-966-9696 between the hours of 4 and 8pm on Sundays.

The Naughty four letter word.

So recently I've decided out of all the four letter words out there the worst by far is the word DIET, I feel like I need to take a shower just by saying it.

Since the winter months are creeping up on me, I've decided to try and loose some weight by dieting and running around and stuff. Turns out saving up the money for the gym membership was the easiest part of the deal. I've been on the diet for 6 days, and for the first three days there had not been one second where I wasn't resisting the urge to eat my weight in pizza.

I've been getting tips by people around me and a lot of them work surprisingly well considering how weird they sound. Since the tips have worked so well for me so far I have decided to share them.

1. First and most important tip, EAT: If you starve your body you may loose weight but it is really hard to keep it off, and the weight lost isn't just fat, it is also muscle and water weight. Also if one looses weight too fast it is really hard on your heart, so if you're hungry eat! Just don't wait till your starving to do it.

2. Read what your eating: The Bob's wife told me this one. I really liked a certain type of candy and I thought it wasn't all that bad because it was fat free... WRONG With the small amount of candy I had eaten, I had consumed over 100 grams of sugar and it wasn't even slightly filling or nutritional.

3. Chew sugar free gum: It causes bloating initially because you swallow a lot of saliva but it stops you from eating because you're bored My biggest downfall!!

4. Pack lunches for school and work: This stops you from buying impulse snacks and over eating due to hunger, plus it is usually cheaper than buying lunch.

5. Eat smaller portioned meals more often in the day, this helps keep the metabolism up and keeps the body from starvation mode where dieting gets to be counter productive.

6. Try not to eat like 2 hours before you go to bed, metabolism slows down when you're sleeping and with a full tummy it is harder to get the full nights rest needed to start the day out right.

I'm not a doctor or a trained professional of any kind and when making any health choices you should always check with the Professionals but these tips have helped me this week, and I hope they will continue to help me out during the long winter months.

Na na na na na na na na Batman!

BATMAN, the creature of the night, he lurks stopping criminals in the act. Batman was not gifted with super human powers, he worked hard for his strength, he uses his brain to solve problems and to make gadgets. He protects without financial gain, or public praise, so his is the purest form of heroism

I was hanging out with my best friend, and we decided to get some coffee since I had coupons for buy one get one free. After probably far too much caffeine we decided to go to Holloween U.S.A and look at the outfits.

I already have the most ridiculous costume ever, but I was looking just for fun when I came upon it. This item was exactly what I was looking for, it would complete me at least for the night... Batman masks! On sale for only $3.99 plus tax. We had to buy them. We then drove around all of Port Huron wearing the masks the whole time. We only had like 10 people even notice the masks, which frightens me that we could drive down Pine Grove unnoticed. But the few people who looked made it worth the while. One guy rolled down his window to tell us how we made his day. But we also got enough dirty looks to have the feeling we were going to have the authorities called. During the trip we hit up Taco bell and we got the people there to laugh.

After I dropped off my friend I decided to head up to the station to see Annie and Gerry (her boy toy) I creeped into the station and it was the best.

Now the Batman mask resides in the WBTI station, where it waits in the hopes that Ben Coburn will finally realize his dreams to become the Batman of Port Huron, and protect his city under the cover of the mask... and the night.

Random I know, but that's just how I roll.

Vampires! They're on the loose!!!!

I was scanning the internet for things to talk about in my night time low down in Annie's absence, and instead of ranting about Halo ODST release date, I stumbled on to something better!

November 20th, some of you out there have this date circled with hearts on your calendar. No, it's not your wedding date, Most likely, but in fact it is the opening night of New Moon, the next in the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer.

If you don't know what twilight is, it is a book about a girl who falls in love with a vampire. This sounds like a horror film where the vampire is stealthy and just trying to lure her away so he can drink her blood (Like most vampires would), but he actually loves her back.

I am not a ignorant hater of twilight, I've read all the books and I've seen the first movie like 4 times, I just don't like it enough to buy things like T-shirts or anything that costs more than 10 dollars.

A line has been drawn in the sand with this next movie... The team Edward VS. team Jacob rivalries will be at their worse. In the first few chapters of New Moon Edward leaves Bella "so he couldn't hurt her anymore" so she turns to her best friend Jacob for support.... but wait something is happening to him... something unnatural!

The reason for this overly long blog? Along with the movie coming there are also other products too. Like the Twilight board game, a limited edition trading card set with an official binder for $239, a book about the making of the movie (There was one just like it for the first movie) and last but not least.... Edward and Bella Barbie's. And yes the two barbies had a photo shoot.

I think this is going over the edge just a bit. I understand people like to buy collectibles, but this reminds me a lot of the Pokemon phase when I was younger. The stuff is mega expensive but looses it's value instead of growing in value.

I'm thinking of buying Ben Colburn one of the Edward dolls... and shaving it's head.

This is my thoughts, be sure to tune in for my next blog.
Topic? You'll just have to wait and see.

Intern April no more!

As almost nobody knows, I was an intern with Radio first for approximately 3 months but it is all over now. Now my new title is actual employee April. As a part of my new title I get to have my own blog and bio featured on the WBTI homepage (Bio is on it's way).

Now it is time for my first blog ever. For those of you have never written a blog, I would say the first one is kinda like a blind date; Its majorly awkward, you don't know what to say, it probably wont turn out well and there is a moderate chance of stalking.

First a little Information on me :)

I'm a total nerd and love video games, but at the same time I love the sun so I'm kind of an oxymoron, at least as far as the stereotype goes. I love using smiley faces. At any given time I can be found at the Boardwalk in Port Huron, most of the time (at least during the summer.) I'll be in the water. If you want to annoy me, you'll have to try really hard because I really can't think of much... other than people who talk while yawning.
I love horror movies and scary video games, and I have an unhealthy relationship with facebook. Many of my friends say my biggest fault is I turn minute long stories into 20 minute long adventures, if you couldn't tell by the length of this Blog.
I love animals, I have 2 dogs (I had to add a photo, the white shiatsu is Bianca and the tan Sheppard mix is Riley) I actually got the tan one from furry Fridays with Sean and Erin. I used to have lizards and snakes but my mom ended that. I'm 19 and am going to SC4 for my degree in Radio Broadcasting! If you have any more questions feel free to leave comments of them, I'll always be more than happy to answer.

Now the History

I went to Central Michigan University for a whole year to be a vet, but it turns out I love animals, not fixing the broken ones. So I decided to look into communication since I love to talk, and getting paid to do that would be boss. I got a hold of Ben Coburn's number and I pestered him for what seemed like 5 months... and actually was 5 months, for an internship. He turned me over to Annie Spears who taught me the way of the Jedi also known as DJ-ing. After like 3 months Ben decided to hire me on, I was camping when I got the text, it was awesome, I fell into the Sunday 4pm to 8 spot and whenever people are sick or on vacation.

I hope this wasn't as awkward for you (the reader) as it was for me (the writer), tune in for my next Blog.

~April.
